Aurora Robson creates elaborate sculptures made from discarded plastic bottles using solar-powered LEDs. Her work has been installed in museums, galleries, and universities, as well as for corporate and private collectors. With her husband Marshall Coles(photographer and cinematographer), she also co-founded and runs Lumenhouse – a photography studio, exhibition space, performance space and artist studios that is a vibrant hub for the Brooklyn arts community. Aurora is Canadian, but grew up in Hawaii & has lived in New York for 19 years. She currently lives & works in Brooklyn with her husband and 19-month-old daughter.

“I am in love with organic forms, string theory, and compound complex curves. I am obsessed with the malleability of matter . . . My practice is ultimately about recognizing and embracing new possibilities and encouraging others to do the same.”
