The Xixau-Xiparina ecological preserve is located in a remote part of the Amazonian rainforests of Brazil. In the beginning, the locals of the preserve had only a diesel powered generator to provide them with electricity, which caused a lot of residual problems such as pollution, noise, and smoke. By using solar panels, the preserve’s community now has a cleaner, better way to power their village and connect with the outside world.
