Aaron Darragh
Resident:Burlington, WA, United States
I chose Mr. Darragh for my interview because he’s an important person in my life.

He’s really respectful, he cares for helping others and helps them understand that everyone in this world has more opportunities than they think they have. Two of his favorites quotes are “Be the change you want to see” and “If you always do what you’ve always done you’ll always get what you’ve always gotten.” His strongest desire is for people to realize their potential and that they are capable of reaching their dreams and goals. Mr. Darragh is a really busy principal. He works hard every single day, is always positive and he’s made a big change in our world by helping others, that’s something I know. If Mr.Darragh had one wish for the world it would be for people to have no more hate, prejudice, and no ill. One of the moments that has impacted his life is when his parents got a divorce. He didn't have a place to live and he realized that the only person that was going to make his life successful was his own self. I’ve learned that even though you're going through some tough moments you can still be able to be successful.

I respect my principal Mr. Darragh because throughout last year I’ve had some tough times when no one was around to actually help me. Mr.Darragh was the one to believe in me, that I could do better for the future. He has given me a lot of chances for the bad things that I’ve done last year even though he shouldn't have but he did. I sat down one day and said to myself, “What have I turned myself into, what person am I now?” Every one of my mistakes I’ve done has helped me to learn from them and to become more responsible in myself in what I do. I would have never changed myself if it weren't for Mr.Darragh. I really appreciate the way he saw me. He had faith in me that one day I would be honest and responsible when no one was around or watching. When I look at Mr.Darragh it makes me really proud to know that he was the one to help me make really hard choices. I still remember the day I said to myself, “It’s time for me to change.” It was on June, 2014 and I did change. I’ve came a long ways and now instead of me getting in trouble I Walk away from trouble.

Me and Mr.Darragh both know that everyone has their own stories in life and at times everyone makes mistakes, but if you're smart enough you’ll learn from your mistake to never let them happen again.
