Who's Your Health Worker?
health workers: n. pl. all people engaged in the promotion, protection or improvement of the health
of the population.
If the world were 100 people, only one would be a health worker. That one person might be a doctor or nurse in a developed nation or a midwife or traditional healer in a rural community in the developing world. Whoever they may be, our world's healthcare workers are a critical part of our global community. 100 People has partnered with the Merck Foundation to celebrate the people on the frontlines of health by capturing and sharing their stories.
We've started this journey in two vastly different parts of the globe: Delhi, India and Appalachia, USA. Where will we end up next?
This project was made possible with the generous support of the Merck Foundation. To find out more about their commitment to global health, click here.
